Hail Damage To Your Roof
As hail is one of the most destructive types of weather, every year, it causes a wide variety of damage to the roofs of homes and businesses in Peoria IL. Some damage may be very obvious. However, during a hailstorm, how do you know if your roof has been damaged?
Without proper training, assessing hail damage can be very difficult. That’s why Messing Roofing and Construction regularly sends our professionals to undergo comprehensive classroom and field training programs to ensure that you have a perfect roof even after a hailstorm. They learn the latest knowledge and skills to determine hail damage.
For example, we can accurately determine whether your shingles have been damaged by the latest hailstorm. As shingles may react differently when struck by hail, we must be able to look for signs of relevant damage. For example, hail damage to asphalt and composition shingles may look very different from that made to wooden shingles. The main characteristics of hail damage to asphalt and composition shingles include random damage with no discernable pattern; black hail hits; loss of granules, which may expose the roof felt; shiny asphalt; and other signs.
By contrast, the main characteristics of hail damage to wood shingles include a brown or orange split in the shingle; a split in the shingle with sharp corners and edges or with little to no deterioration around the edges; or impact marks along the splits.
When these signs of damage occur, Messing Roofing and Construction is willing to help.
